Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and organized Community Event Assistant to support the planning and execution of health screening events in local communities. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing event logistics, and ensuring a seamless experience for participants. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and passionate about promoting community health and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and organizing community health screening events, including scheduling, venue setup, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as healthcare providers, volunteers, vendors, and community organizations to ensure smooth event operations.

  • Manage event logistics, including equipment setup, signage, and participant registration.

  • Provide on-site support during events, addressing participant inquiries and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

  • Promote events through community outreach, social media, and other communication channels as needed.

  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve future events.

  • Maintain accurate records of event activities, attendance, and outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, public health, or related field preferred.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings as required.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with social media platforms.

  • Prior experience in event coordination or community outreach is a plus.

  • Passion for community health and wellness initiatives.

 

Salary and Conditions of Service:

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits for full-time appointments include leave, medical insurance and etc. The possibility of re-appointment after the initial contract period will be based on performance evaluation and mutual agreements.
