System Analyst

Requirements

• Holder of a Bachelor Degree in computer science/computer studies (major study) and electronics/electrical engineering (minor study) from a recognized University in Hong Kong or overseas, or an equivalent qualification; and
• At least eight (8) years practical experience in relevant fields such as data warehouse management and OLAP technologies, finite element modelling and simulation techniques, familiarization of programming techniques in UNIX Script, JAVA, MATLAB, C and Basic Languages and general knowledge on sensory and instrumentation technologies, cabling networking and communication technologies.

Responsibilities 

• To manage, maintain and update the Electronic Maintenance Management System (EMMS) and Maintenance Database, and Asset Management System for highway maintenance activities in Tsing Sha Control Area;
• Responsible for data acquisition, pre-processing, data archiving, back up, loading of past data and historical record, pre-processing and post-processing works, and network maintenance checking of the software systems;
• To assist in carrying out field measurements, data processing works and any other works related to the software systems;
• To provide professional advice for upgrading of the existing software systems and provide assistance and support in implementing the upgrade;
• To monitor and liaise with the authorised IT sub-contractors to ensure their works comply with the contractual requirements;
• To provide support to all system users.
