Assistant Financial Controller / Senior Manager

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced team lead to support our financial operations within a regional management context. The ideal candidate will focus on overseeing internal control and cost management, alongside providing financial insights to senior leadership team for business decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Control & Compliance

• Work closely with business units and internal stakeholders to evaluate the adequacy of internal control protocols and identify control gaps.

• Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring control policies and procedures across regional operations.

• Perform regular assessments of internal control mechanisms to ensure executions are intact.

• Recommend improvements to strengthen compliance and manage operational risks.

• Collaborate with Finance team to ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.

• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with financial policies and identify risk areas.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Review budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

• Monitor actual versus budgeted costs, provide variance analysis and reporting to Management.

• Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making processes.

• Develop and maintain cost control reports to track and analyze financial performance across different regions.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business performance and inform strategic decisions.

• Review financial forecasts, including revenue projections and expense budgets tailored to regional dynamics.

• Collaborate with business leaders to assess the impact of various business scenarios and guide strategic planning.

Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor finance staff across regional offices, fostering continuous improvement and development of internal controls.

• Provide training and support to staff on financial policies and procedures.

• Assist in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting, with CPA or equivalent professional qualification is a must.

• 10+ years of progressive finance experiences, with prior exposure in both Big4 audit and commercial background preferred.

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.

• Demonstrated people management skills with experience in leading finance teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and BI tools is a plus.
