Accounting Officer

• Handle day-to-day accounting duties
• Prepare / review monthly financial reports
• Good team player

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting duties such as vouchers preparation, journal upload / posting etc.
• Prepare / review monthly general ledger and financial reports.
• Handle payment requests. Co-ordinate with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with procedures & guidelines and funder requirements.
• Prepare / review expenditure reports, financial reports and claim submissions for funding projects.
• Perform incoming donation transactions vetting.
• Support year-end account closing and management account reports.
• Have experience to coordinate and work with external auditors.
• Participate in and contribute inputs for accounting policies and process reviews.
• Assist in ad hoc projects as to be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor holder in Accounting / Finance discipline.
• Have relevant hands-on experience in handling full set of accounts and financial reporting.
• Able to work independently, self-discipline and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and detail-oriented.
• A good team player with positive attitude, sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working experience with MYOB accounting system is an advantage.
• Passion in social service. Work experience in NGOs is an asset.
