Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) support the planning of the offering of Chinese Language subjects for undergraduate programmes;
(b) provide administrative support to subject administration, including class timetabling, subject registration, examination, and quality assurance-related matters;
(c) provide secretarial support to meetings and committees;
(d) assist in the coordination and organisation of centre events and testing activities;
(e) assist in the publicity related-matters and maintain the website effectively;
(f) assist in data management and report compilation;
(g) maintain various databases and effective record system;
(h) handle enquiries from staff, students, and relevant stakeholders;
(i) render support to the office administration and daily operation of the Centre; and
(j) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Centre or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work beyond or outside normal office hours.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree;
(b) have at least three years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions or similar organisations;
(c) have good computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat and Chinese word processing, with knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools being an advantage;
(d) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(e) have a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation;
(f) have good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills; and
(g) be detail-oriented and a good team player.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
