Merchandise Manager - Food

Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for creation and development of food business within Spectra Private Brands (Asia) Limited, part of The Connor Group

• Source and qualify food vendors for the US and other markets

• Be the key contact for customer inquiries, updates, and concerns, while building trust, expanding category expertise, and driving vendor growth.

• Control pricing to ensure competitiveness

• Liaise with other WEC offices to develop food business

• Participate in buying trips to Asia and occasional trips to visit clients

• Track and periodically update customers regarding food market trends

• Research category and product opportunities

• Achieve KPI targets for shipment, on-time delivery, and quality

• Work closely with other departments such as quality assurance, compliance, and operations

Job Requirements

• Degree holder or equivalent

• Minimum 8-years of relevant experience in merchandising field

• Extensive knowledge of food products, covering both commercial practices and regulatory/quality requirements

• Knowledge of food vendor base

• Excellent in strategic planning and presentation

• Great communicator and facilitation skills

• Analytical, aggressive, self-motivated and proactive

• Excellent command of written and spoken English
