Head of QA (B2B OEM ODM Apparel Manufacturing)

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to Head of Supply Chain, the Head of Quality Assurance assumes global responsibility by leading local production quality assurance teams in Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, China, and beyond.

• Develop and ensure quality assurance strategies that are aligned with the company's goals and customer expectations.

• Take charge of and oversee quality assurance systems and inspection protocols to ensure consistent adherence to standards and specifications during the manufacturing process. 

• Drive ongoing improvement efforts to boost product quality, minimize defects, and optimize production processes. 

• Establish and uphold total quality management across all suppliers by utilizing inspection processes and conducting technical factory evaluations. 

• Establish and reinforce relationships with suppliers to guarantee that products and manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and environmental standards. 

• Develop and lead a team of QA professionals, provide training and guidance to ensure that teams have the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain high-quality standards and achieve departmental objectives. Maintain QA manual and provide training to garment factories so they fully understand customer’s quality expectation, policy, procedure and technical requirements. 

• Define and manage the factory certification program and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, technical design, sourcing, and logistics. 

• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, and introduce and implement garment factory QA Scorecard and KPIs. 

CANDIDATE SPCIFICATION

1. Bachelor's Degree in Apparel / Textile Development, Sourcing or Engineering, Quality Management.

2. At least 10 years relevant work experience with a minimum of 5 years on a leadership position with fashion & apparel products, fabrics and trims, particularly in B2B apparel supply chain. 

3. Demonstrated success in implementing and overseeing QA programs in a global manufacturing environment. 

4. Sound knowledge in global sourcing, manufacturing, and garment quality assurance. 

5. In-depth technical knowledge of product construction, materials, garment washing, applications, and manufacturing processes for all apparel categories, e.g., cut-and-sew knits, woven, denim, sweater, intimates, seamless & bonded, performance knits, etc.  

6. Sound understanding of compliance & regulatory requirements, as well as sustainability & environmental standards. 

7. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency. 

8. Strong leadership and communication abilities; high integrity and ethical standards. 

9. Proficient in MS Office applications, and experience with Pivot 88 and PLM software. 

10. Frequent business travel is required.
