Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- developing and administering programmes of the School;
- undertaking course planning, development, coordination and delivery (including classroom teaching);
- engaging in co-curricular activities;
- providing leadership and participating in research and scholarly activities as well as School/University services; and
- performing any duties assigned by the Dean.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A PhD degree in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Radiography (Medical Imaging or Nuclear Medicine) or other closely related fields;
- A qualification that is registrable with the Radiographers Board of the HKSAR is preferred;
- Experience in academic programme leadership is needed;
- Relevant teaching/professional experience in diagnostic radiography;
- Good academic background and achievements;
- Demonstrated promise of high level of competence in teaching;
- Participation in curriculum and programme development;
- High potential in research and scholarly publications;
- Demonstrated potential in obtaining external competitive research grants;
- Good achievements in knowledge transfer; and
- Demonstrated commitment to contributing to the University, profession and community.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, a composite cash/housing allowance, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates. Generous annual leave, staff-development sponsorships, medical and dental benefits, and life insurance coverage will also be provided.
