We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product sourcing, managing supplier relationships, intra-group prospection, product life cycle management, account servicing, and cost control. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to assess their capabilities, reliability, and quality standards
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
- Handle day-to-day sourcing operations and formulate sourcing strategy
- Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
- Work closely with QA team to handle customer complaints and technical information requests
- Collaborate closely with intra-company departments to understand their sourcing needs, specifications, and requirements
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in regulations that may impact sourcing strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional team for new product development from sketch to shipment
Frequent travel for sourcing, procurement activities and intra-company communications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of related sourcing experience or in a procurement role.
- Experience in account management within OEM/ODM manufacturing, preferably in cookware or other kitchen hardgoods, being definite advantage.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in using sourcing software and presentation tools.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
