THE CHINESE MEDICINE HOSPITAL OF HONG KONG

The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution leading the development of CM including Chinese medicines (CMs) in Hong Kong. The CMHHK adopts a public-private partnership model. The HKSAR Government has financed the construction and selected the Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor to incorporate the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the CMHHK.

The CMHHK is targeted to commence hospital services by phases at the end of 2025. The CMHHK aims to offer comprehensive CM care, ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promote advanced and specialised CM services. The CMHHK will pioneer integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM) services to cater to different patient needs. Inpatient, day-patient, and outpatient treatments and also community services will be offered by the CMHHK. Both Government-subsidised services and add-on market-oriented services will be provided to ensure accessibility and to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community.

With a view to prioritising education, training, innovation and research, including collaboration with local and overseas universities to advance evidence-based clinical research and develop CM theories and clinical applications, the CMHHK is now looking for the following talent to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Report to GM (Finance) and oversee the implementation, rollout and ongoing enhancement of the hospital’s BI platform as well as IT user support:

• Drive organisation-wide adoption of BI tools to support clinical, administrative and strategic decision-making;
• Develop and manage enterprise dashboards, operational reports and performance analytics;
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency and security to support high-quality analytics;
• Collaborate with departments to translate business needs into measurable reporting and analytical solutions.;
• Work closely with IT and Business Integration teams to strengthen metadata management, data lineage and data validation mechanisms;
• Oversee the preparation of operational, financial and management reports using the new BI platform;
• Lead the first-level end-user support team for clinical and related systems;
• Supervise user onboarding, training, troubleshooting workflows and communication mechanism;
• Support end-users through structured helpdesk processes, knowledge base development and regular system updates; and
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor(s) from time to time.

Requirements:

• Holder of a bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in BI, analytics, data governance or healthcare IT roles;
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or equivalent.;
• Experienced in hospitals or healthcare-related companies is a must;
• Strong background in designing dashboards, KPIs, operational reports and analytics models.
• Understanding of healthcare workflows, HIS, clinical systems or hospital data structures is an advantage.
• Experience in end-user support, system troubleshooting, or user training preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good leadership and team-building skills in motivating personnel; and

• Excellent presentation skills with good command of English and Chinese in both spoken and written, including Putonghua.
  

Work location: The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong in Tseung Kwan O. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract by CMHHK.
