Environmental Officer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing the Company’s Policy in environmental management and driving the execution of environmental initiatives on site.
• Overseeing all the environmental matters; 
• Carry out inspections of the Site for identifying potential hazards to the environment, and to report findings with recommendations for corrective actions; 
• Check and ensure that any polluting or potentially polluting situation is promptly rectified; 
• Arrange and provide the environmental training including the site-specific induction training and toolbox talks for the staff and workers on the Site, and to organize environmental promotional activities; 
• Advise the project team on the implementation of an environmental management system on site.

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Environmental Engineering or related disciplines; or 
• Completed the Environmental Officer Course run by the Construction Industry Council Training Academe (CICTA) or an equivalent certificate course on environmental studies or environmental engineering
• Membership of relevant professional environmental institutions (MHKIQEP, MCIWEM C.Env, MHKIE, MHKIEIA, MHKIOA etc) and accredited as a BEAM Professional, LEED AP, WELL AP is preferred;
• 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management for construction projects;
• Qualification of BEAM Pro would be an advantage
• Well-versed in local environmental regulations;
• Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin;
• Applicants with more experience will be considered as Senior Environmental Officer. 
• Applicants with less experience will be considered as Assistant Environmental Officer or Environmental Supervisor.
