Research Assistant position is available in the Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

The appointee is expected to mainly deploy clinical and non-clinical duties in the following areas:

• The appointee will participate in the molecular neuroscience-related and/or genetic-based research programs.
• Successful candidates need to work at Hong Kong Science Park and geriatric centers around Hong Kong.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field;
• Prior experience in clinical or hospital settings is preferred;
• Experience and knowledge in research project administration, biological sample processing, patient recruitment or translational science is an asset;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential;
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with an ability to work independently is essential; and
• A good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese.

(Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
