Chief Operating Officer – PRC Focus

Location: Hong Kong & Mainland China

Reports to: Group Board of Directors / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will take full responsibility for leading and advancing Wai Yuen Tong’s operations and growth strategy in Mainland China. This role requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and health products industry, deep knowledge of the China market environment, and strong capabilities in managing sales, marketing, supply chain, and compliance initiatives to drive sustainable business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies for Mainland China to achieve annual and long-term growth targets.

• Lead the sales, distribution, and brand building of healthcare products in Mainland China market.

• Oversee agency sales management of Western pharmaceutical products and collaborate with business partners to expand market share.

• Manage and grow cross-border e-commerce operations, including platform performance, online marketing, and customer experience optimization.

• Build and optimize multi-channel distribution networks (online, offline, OTC, hospitals, and pharmacies).

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including budgeting, team development, and performance management.

• Supervise daily operations across budget control, team development, and performance evaluation.

• Ensure all business activities comply with regulatory standards while maintaining strong product quality and brand reputation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Pharmacy, Business Administration or related disciplines.

• At least 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or health industry, including 8 years in senior management.

• Solid understanding of the Mainland China pharmaceutical market and channel ecosystem, with a proven track record of success in market development.

• Strong strategic planning, execution, and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across regions and cultures.

• Willingness to travel and work between Hong Kong and Mainland China.

• Immediate available is preferred
