Senior Specialist, Fashion Accessories Materials

Key responsibilities:

• Stay tuned with all materials markets to understand sources and to advise design on upcoming trends for our Accessories product category from wallets to handbags

• Creative scouting, conduct research & development for Accessories Materials to meet the business needs across all brands and bench marking all accessories materials in Asia market

• Establish effective strategic relationships with suppliers and successfully leverage these relationships to bring in innovation and novelty at competitive prices

• To collaborate with designers to engineer the products with appropriate material sourcing/development that meets brand design intent as well as cost parameters

• To actively source new and innovative raw materials for our products

• Build library or database of relevant raw materials 

Requirements:

• College graduate with professional training in Fashion / Accessories Materials

• At least 5-8 years’ managerial experience gained in Luxury Brands in researching Fashion Accessories Materials

• Broad knowledge of product development and manufacturing of materials

• Strong technical background on different accessories materials costing both materials & processes with good sourcing network

• Excellent communication, negotiation and time management skills

• A team player capable of interacting with different levels from management to stylists and diverse groups of team members and factories

• Proficiency in MS applications including Excel and Word

• Good verbal and written command of English & Chinese
