Interior Designer/ FF&E Designer (5 day work)

Remedios Studio is looking for an Interior Designer/ FF&E Designer to join our studio in Hong Kong due to our strategic growth. We believe talent is our biggest asset and our strength.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal to establish design direction and work with the design team from concept through project completion. We are looking for candidates who can develop and execute the FF&E direction for overall project. He/She will also work closely with clients to ensure that both the aesthetic and operational requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Planning and design of projects, including but not limited to Interiors and FF&E work
• Develop and execute the FF&E direction for overall project
• Designing, sourcing, budgeting and documenting FF&E from concept through to finished details
• Prepare mood boards, FF&E specifications, presentation materials and in coordinating FF&E designs with vendors and other resources
• Assume an assistant role in design presentations in communicating with clients and ensure that format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements
• Assist with project record keeping
• Liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure FF&E is delivered on time and on budget
• Attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project
• Participate in the establishment and maintenance of FF&E design standards for the company
• Keep abreast of new trends that may influence FF&E design scheme
• Performs all phases and full scope of design work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction
• Identifies client needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
• Develops the concepts and design in line with client’s needs
• Manages the production of drawings from Concept Stage to Tender Documentation Stage, through construction
• Performs ad-hoc duties assigned by the Principals

 Qualifications

• Degree or above in Architecture or Interior Design
• 5+ years high-end architecture and/or interior design experience in hospitality, residential or other high-end type projects
• Strong passion in design and desire for growth
• Experience in full project cycles from concept design to documentation and construction
• Able to work independently and work well under pressure
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong sense of ownership
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, 3Ds Max and PowerPoint
• Experience in full project cycles from concept to documentation and construction
• Good knowledge of materials, details, construction methods, and standards
• Good command of written and spoken English (Mandarin is desirable but not essential)

Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior positions. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated and results oriented individual with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. Must be willing to travel and be comfortable with working in a multi-cultural environment.
