Accountant/Senior Consultant

Connaught Shipmanagement (HK) Limited is a dynamic and fast-growing ship management company focusing on the global shipping industry. Now we are managing 24 bulk vessels while our fleet is continuously expanding. With our expansion, we are looking for a candidate who is open for a new and challenging job to join our growing team.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform daily accounting and finance related duties, including budgeting, internal control, other general ledger functions and internal/external business reports as required.

· Handle full set of monthly management accounts independently, ensure reports are accurate and with proper explanations on variance from budget.

· Perform analytical review and variance analysis on management reports to explain business performance.

· Lead financial reporting, process improvement projects and cost monitoring.

· Assist in on-going review of portfolio companies financial planning, reporting and budgeting activities.

· Assist in handling owners' queries relating to vessels' account.

· Ensure portfolio companies' financial governance and audit procedures are in place.

· Assist in year-end closing, annual audit and tax matters.

· Perform Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor Degree or Diploma and 4+ years’ experience in accounting or a related field. 10+ years’ experience for Senior Consultant.

· Experience in vessel accounting is an advantage.

· Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and detailed-minded.

· High level of integrity and ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

· Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin & Cantonese).

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 accounting system is considered a plus.

· Immediate available is an advantage.
