Scrum Master (Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager)

Who We Are Looking For:

We are currently seeking a highly competent and experienced Scrum Master to join NTT DATA’s global payment hub, which is headquartered in Hong Kong. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible to facilitate scrum to the larger team by ensuring the scrum framework is followed. You will be committed to the scrum values and practices, but should also remain flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Coach within the framework; guide the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity;

• Remove impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress;

• Help find techniques for effective product goal definition and product backlog management;

• Establish empirical product roadmap planning for a complex environment;

• Streamline and enhance the organization framework;

• Play the role of Servant Leader that encourage collaborative engagements;

• Resolve conflicts and issues – remove barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams;

• Lead, coach, train the scrum team;

• Provide end-to-end and hands-on assistance for product and project management;

• Anticipate project risks and implement timely mitigation strategies; and

• Progress tracking and Reporting - Monitor and report on program updates.

Requirements and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study;

• At least 4-7 years of relevant experience;

• Experience in the payments industry is an advantage;

• Prior experience on a scrum team;

• Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict;

• Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum;

• Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not;

• Experience with successful Agile techniques;

• Ability to work with and lead a team;

• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills;

• Ability to adapt to a changing environment;

• Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction;

• Proficient in spoken and written English, Chinese. Understanding of Japanese is a plus; and

• More experience will be considered as Manager.
