Cloud Engineer - 50k - Bank and Insur - 6 months extendable

This client is one of the largest commercial banking groups in Hong Kong, serving as a cornerstone of the region's financial infrastructure. They are currently undergoing a massive digital evolution, integrating AI and distributed ledger technology to build future-ready banking platforms for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the end-to-end management and optimization of a robust multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure environment.
• Maintain the reliability and security of cloud-based banking platforms, ensuring 24/7 service availability for high-volume transactions.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows for system deployment, scaling, and recovery to improve operational resilience.
• Collaborate with application developers to ensure software is optimized for cloud deployment and aligns with architectural standards.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and troubleshooting of cloud-based systems and connected networking components.
• Ensure all cloud operations adhere to strict financial industry security protocols and internal risk management policies.

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps roles, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Practical knowledge of managing enterprise cloud environments (Public, Private, or Hybrid Cloud).
• Experience with server automation, configuration management tools, and scripting for operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud networking, and modern monitoring tools for complex environments.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
