Job Description

Faculty of Medicine

The appointee will assist the Head of Admissions and Student Affairs in student support and active engagement with students. Duties include (a) planning and organising admission events to admit and retain top quality candidates to the Faculty; (b) devising multi-channel strategies to connect with students; (c) co-ordinating student enrichment programmes/activities to facilitate and broaden students’ learning and personal development; (d) providing support and guidance to student organisations; (e) assisting in student affairs administrative works, including but not limited to, student wellness, student discipline, scholarship nominations and student elective; (f) providing committee services; and (g) performing any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo;  (iii) at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification executive experience, preferably in a tertiary institution, public organisation, NGO or a healthcare related field; (iv) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; (vi) an organisational ability to handle multi-tasks and be attentive to details; (vii) a strong ability to manage tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment independently; and (viii) computer literacy. Experience in supporting student services and co-ordinating student development programmes is preferred. Knowledge in webpage and image editing is a plus.

Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
