Job Description
What are the main responsibilities of this role?
- To provide individual and small group lessons to students preparing to take the IBDP, IBMYP, GCSE, and GCE A-level Exams as well as upper primary students developing foundational literacy skills.
- To mark and evaluate students’ performance and devise study plans to motivate and assist students in their studies.
- To prepare notes and lesson plans for courses designed to boost students’ skills in areas like creative writing, argumentative writing, reading comprehension, and textual analysis.
- To develop notes, handouts, exercises, and assessments to aid students in their learning.
What are the credentials/skills that we are looking for
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.
- An academic background in relevant subjects: preferably English Literature, English Language, or Linguistics
- To be enthusiastic and dynamic.
- To have excellent communication skills.
- Native-level fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus.
- Previous teaching experience is a definite asset.
- Previous experience in the SAT/ACT/AP/IB/GCE/GCSE exams is a definite asset.
What is the salary range that we offer
