Dental surgery assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Surgery Assistant to join our modern and progressive Contemporary Dental Clinic located in the vibrant Tsuen Wan District. This part-time role will support our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and maintaining a clean and organised work area

2. Sterilising and disinfecting dental instruments and equipment according to strict protocols

3. Preparing treatment rooms by stocking supplies and ensuring all necessary materials are available

4. Providing excellent customer service by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries

5. Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment plans in the practice management software

6. Supporting the dental team with any other administrative or clinical tasks as required

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a Dental Surgery Assistant or similar role within a dental practice

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and the dental team

3. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

4. Proficiency in using dental practice management software and other relevant technology

5. A caring and empathetic attitude, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional patient care

6. Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and evenings as required
