Assistant Engineering Manager – Soft Toys

Job Description:

• To develop new product from concept stage till 1st shipment

• Generate cost effective ideas to design and costing teams to achieve the target

• Follow up new product development, debug and trouble shooting in accordance with the quality control standard

• Provide manufacturing support to vendors

• Liaise with vendors and staff in head office

• Monitor the progress of projects tightly within pre-set schedule

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in toy engineering with at least 5 years in leading new items development and 2 years managerial experience

• Experience in handling soft toys and electronic toys, pre-school toys in preferably

• Strong technical skill with experience in costing and tooling

• Familiar with US, Europe and other major int’l market’s toys quality and safety requirements

• Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese/Chinese and Mandarin

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Self-motivated, with strong sense of commitment and able to work under pressure & overtime

• Well organized, with good interpersonal & communication skill

• Willing to travel and stay in China, when necessary
