BI Consultant

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a BI consultant, Power BI developer, or similar data-focused role.

• Demonstrated expertise in Power BI and Power Query, including dashboard/report creation, DAX, and data modeling.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consulting environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.

• Familiarity with Tableau, Azure, Databricks is a plus.

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

   

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models tailored to client requirements.

• Create and implement Power BI reports and dashboards with a strong focus on clarity, impactful visualization, and alignment with client requirements, while adhering to best practices

• Design, build, and optimize data models that effectively organize and structure complex data from multiple sources, ensuring high performance, scalability, and accuracy to support insightful Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to client business objectives.

• Rapidly absorb and understand client domain knowledge and business models to ensure BI solutions are relevant and insightful

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, interpret business objectives, and translate them into technical BI solutions

• Provide training and support to client teams, ensuring effective use and adoption of Power BI solutions

• Stay current with advancements in BI, analytics, data engineering and data science to continually enhance our service offerings. Proactive in learning new tools to cater clients’ need.
