Chemist / Assistant Chemist (Chemical / Environmental)

Responsibilities:

• Carries out chemical analysis of construction samples (e.g. Concrete, cement or steel) by utilizing spectrometer, spectroscopy and titration technique. 

• Prepare test solutions, reagents and samples for conducting material tests.

• Performs laboratory operations in accordance with standard operating procedures and fulfill the requirement stated in quality manual.

• Records data in a tidy manner and reports to senior laboratory staff if there are any problems.

• Calculate test results through applying determined limits and standard.

• Operates, calibrates and maintains specific laboratory equipment (e.g. ICP/OES, Spark/MS or Nitrogen analyzer) under the supervision of senior laboratory staff 

• Develop QC charts, graphs and reference files on laboratory data. 

• Maintains good housekeeping of the laboratory

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Chemical Analysis, Chemical Technology or related disciplines.

• Hardworking, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

• Willing to work overtime.

• Candidate with more experience and qualification will be considered as chemist.

• Fresh graduates or part time are also welcome
