Research Engineer / Assistant Research Engineer

The appointee will work closely with multi-disciplinary team members; build and analyse transportation simulation models; and perform any other duties as assigned.

 For Research Engineer, the applicant should have a PhD degree with at least 2 years’ post-qualification in R&D or equivalent OR MPhil/MSc degree with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in R&D or equivalent.

 For Assistant Research Engineer, the applicant should have an MPhil/MSc degree OR Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience in R&D or equivalent.

 The appointee should have knowledge of traffic and transport engineering, and be proficient in data analysis using fundamental programming skills in Python, Java, or C++. Experience in agent-based simulation or micro-simulation is desirable. Working experience in the industry will be recognized.

 The appointee will be expected to manage R&D projects related to smart transportation. The appointee should be a team player with an attention to details, has problem-solving skills, be self- motivated, and well-organized. Immediate availability for appointment is preferred. (Duration: 1 - 2 years)

 Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. If a 2-year contract is offered, a gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
