Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Buying & Inventory Management

• Develop and execute OTB plans in close coordination with store teams to ensure optimal product availability
• Conduct regular store visits to gather frontline feedback on product performance
• Work with store managers to analyze sell-through data and adjust buy plans accordingly

2. Retail Partnership & Store Collaboration

• Serve as key liaison between HQ buying team and retail stores
• Train store staff on new product features and buying strategies
• Gather store-level insights to inform future buying decisions
• Resolve inventory issues reported by store teams promptly

3. Cross-functional Coordination

• Partner with China-based supply chain teams (quarterly travel is required)
• Collaborate with visual merchandising teams on store product placement strategies
• Coordinate with marketing on in-store promotions and product launches

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• 5+ years in apparel buying/merchandising with direct store collaboration experience
• Proven track record of working closely with retail store teams
• Strong understanding of store operations and retail math (OTB, sell-through, GMROI)
• Fluent in Mandarin to communicate with China teams and suppliers

Preferred Background

• Sportswear/activewear retail experience
• Experience conducting store training or product knowledge sessions is an advantage
• Knowledge in retail store operations or management
