IT Systems & Security Engineer - Network Architect (Ref: CIF-FS2-2025-339)

Responsibilities:

• Provide network and server management including configuring, monitoring, and maintaining local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and Internet systems
• Ensure optimal network performance and security through regular monitoring and troubleshooting, and evaluate new technologies and participate the server farm revamp with vendors
• Perform VM Host / server related maintenance work e.g. regular backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Provide technical support for Daily IT operations & Routine Server Maintenance ensuring all systems are up to date with the latest security patches and manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity and availability
• Create and maintain ISO 27001:2022 documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure, and document network configurations, changes, and incidents for audit and review purposes
• Assist in the setup of network infrastructure for construction site offices, including cabling, hardware installation, and configuration of network devices
• Conduct daily monitoring of servers and network performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively, and generate reports on network performance and incidents for management review
• Communicate with hardware vendors for maintenance support, troubleshooting, and equipment procurement
• Research, evaluate, and implement commercial or open-source solutions that align with organizational needs and enhance operational efficiency
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments against all servers and network devices and coordinate remediation efforts to resolve identified issues

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Networking or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar system engineering role
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, and system administration
• Experience in security technologies implementation using Nessus, Firewall, VPN, DLP, IPS, Anti-Virus, etc. is highly preferred
• Expertise in implementing and maintaining security solutions, such as firewalls, and access controls
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex IT issues
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiar with industry-standard tools and technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and VMware
• Certification in Information Security or Services disciplines ITIL, CISSAP, CISM, CISA, CEH would be an advantage
