Part-Time Editor (Educational Publishing)

Join our dynamic team as a part-time Editor dedicated to creating high-quality educational materials for children aged 3–12.

Responsibilities:

Content Management:

• Oversee the writing, illustration, and overall content development of publications

• Coordinate and plan editorial and design projects to continually enhance quality

• Review daily departmental operations and workflows

• Assist with or coordinate the recording of educational materials using voice technology

• Gather market intelligence and stay informed about existing and upcoming projects

Periodic Duties:

• Recommend product design strategies or improvements to management

• Proofread, translate, and follow up on product content and audio files

• Review product layouts, analyze reports, and monitor costs monthly

• Support the sales department and other teams with promotional activities

• Manage unexpected assignments and urgent project tasks as required

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literature, Journalism, or related fields

• Minimum 4 years of editorial experience in educational publishing, preferably with children’s materials and knowledge of local kindergarten and primary curricula

• Expertise in planning and executing publishing projects, with a comprehensive understanding of the publishing cycle

• Proven ability to lead a team to deliver high-quality publications on schedule

• Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English communication skills

• Detail-oriented, responsible, independent, self-motivated, creative, and people-oriented

• Passionate, willing to embrace challenges, and driven to innovate

• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality
