Work you’ll do 

• Perform day-to-day LAN Administration jobs, maintain and perform troubleshooting on user workstations and Servers
• Install and configure new Servers and users workstations
• Interact and follow up with vendors and government departments for maintenance and fault reported for any computer equipment and software until case completed
• Maintain the inventory record of the computer equipment
• Provide technical assistance for relocating/establishing computer equipment
• Manage and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Implement and manage security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data
• Perform regular system backups and ensure data recovery processes are in place
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues
• Document and maintain system configurations, procedures, and policies
• Train and assist end-users in the use of hardware and software

We are looking for someone with

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science or equivalent

• At least 4 years of experience in:

  • Performing day-to-day LAN Administration jobs, maintaining and performing troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows servers
  • Supporting Windows system services including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory

• At least 2 years of experience in:

  • Providing help-desk and technical support for Microsoft Windows workstations
  • Supporting standard office applications including MS Outlook and MS Office
  • Supporting SSLVPN
  • Supporting MWS service and mobile devices (in particular iOS devices)
  • Managing Symantec Anti-virus (SAV) definition updating through logon script and through SAV server
  • Supporting server hardware and network equipment
  • Monitoring of LAN/WAN/VPN network performance
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and configuration problems in PCs and notebooks
  • Managing centralised backup system using ArcServe R16 or above

• Below support experience is preferred but not essential:

  • Prior support experience in Government department(s)
  • Maintaining and supporting websites using tools like Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP

• Holder of below professional certifications is a definite advantage:

  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or equivalent
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • IBM Certified System Administrator (CLP) - Lotus Notes and Domino
