Production Manager, Sweater & Knits

This role is based in Lever Style Shenzhen office, with daily shuttle provided for commuting between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

Production Manager, Sweater & Knits reports to Head of Supply Chain, with focus on vendor maximization through production order and factory consolidation, forecast accuracy and capacity utilization improvement, costing and allocation cycle time reduction through automation, and on-time delivery performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Based on customer needs and category characteristics, identify suitable factory suppliers globally, establish and maintain good supplier relationships, and conduct evaluation and management of suppliers throughout their lifecycle.

2. Responsible for procuring raw materials, trims, and factories required for the procurement category projects, ensuring that the services, quality, and delivery timelines provided by the factories meet project requirements.

3. Responsible for the signing, execution, and follow-up of procurement contracts, preparing procurement plans according to different stages of the BOM, and arranging procurement batches and timings to ensure that suppliers deliver goods on time.

4. Control procurement costs, optimize supply chain service capabilities, and enhance the quotation competitiveness of the company on the customer side.

5. Participate in the quotation of new projects, providing support in terms of supplier resources and types of face and auxiliary materials.

6. Timely handle issues during the delivery process of samples and bulk orders from factories, and lead in resolving conflicts between suppliers and projects.

7. Provide technical guidance and support to apparel factories relating to operation excellence, process improvement, technical challenge, product quality and shipment schedule.

8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, merchandisers, suppliers, and manufacturers, to develop innovative products that align with brand values and meet customer needs.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS:

1. In-depth knowledge of factory sourcing and selection process, including supplier qualification, evaluation, negotiation, and performance management.

2. Expertise in sweater and yarn (wool, cashmere, mohair, acrylic, etc.)

3. Experience in managing sweater factories in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, etc., and the end-to-end production cycle.

4. Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze data, market trends, and capabilities to make informed decisions.
