Front Office Trading Platforms Support

MUFG Securities is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Front Office Trading Platforms Support professional to join their team in Hong Kong. This role is integral to the smooth operation of trading platforms, including electronic trading, market connectivity, and STP workflows. You will also be responsible for supporting sales/trader workflows, sales toolkits, and sales MI reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in liaising with other departments such as Product Control and Operations for STP-related enquiries. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Technology department to build sustainable platforms for international business. What you'll do:

As a Front Office Trading Platforms Support professional, your role will be multifaceted. You will provide comprehensive support for various trading platforms while also assisting with sales/trader workflows. Your ability to address STP-related inquiries from different departments will be crucial. You will work closely with the Technology department to develop sustainable platforms that cater to our international business needs. Your expertise will be required in specifying, testing, and rolling out system changes that accommodate new products or regulatory changes. Additionally, you will enhance our monitoring platform's efficiency while providing hands-on support for Fixed Income external market connections. You will be involved in project support, capturing requirements, communicating with development teams, and assisting in testing and rollout of small projects. Your commitment to cybersecurity will be crucial as you implement platform improvements, respond promptly to configuration improvements raised by Information Security teams, and assist in cybersecurity investigations. Your collaborative skills will shine as you work closely with international teams to coordinate fixes for shared applications.

• Provide comprehensive support for trading platforms, including electronic trading, market connectivity, and straight-through processing (STP) workflows.
• Assist with sales/trader workflows (STW), sales toolkits, and sales management information (MI) reporting.
• Address STP-related inquiries from other departments, such as Product Control and Operations.
• Work closely with the Technology department to build sustainable platforms that meet our international business needs.
• Specify, test, and roll out system changes to accommodate new products, business requirements, or regulatory changes.
• Enhance the overall monitoring platform to boost efficiency across the team.
• Provide direct support for Fixed Income external market connections, booking platforms, and STP infrastructure.
• Actively monitor production systems, tracking and escalating issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Capture requirements, communicate with development teams, and assist in testing and rollout of small projects related to the international business.
• Implement and manage platform improvements to maintain secure access to our applications and data.
• Respond promptly to configuration improvements raised by Information Security teams
• Assist in Cybersecurity investigation providing detailed reports and recommendations to mitigate risk
• Assist in testing fixes applied to servers by the infrastructure team
• Work closely with international teams to coordinate fixes for shared applications

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Front Office Trading Platforms Support role will bring a wealth of front office trading support experience to the table. Your familiarity with FI broker applications such as TradeWeb, MarketAxess, Markitwire, BrokerTec, eSpeed and CME will be highly valued. Knowledge of ION Trading Technology and Bloomberg TOMS is recommended. A firm understanding of financial markets with a focus on Fixed Income: Bonds, Futures & Options is required, while FX, CDS experience would be advantageous. A working knowledge of FIX / QuickFIX is desirable. Technical skills in Unix shell, scripting, Windows and Database (SQL / reporting) would be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 3-5 years front office trading support experience preferred.
• Experience with FI broker applications such as TradeWeb, MarketAxess, Markitwire, BrokerTec, eSpeed and CME is very desirable.
• Knowledge of ION Trading Technology and Bloomberg TOMS are highly recommended.
• A firm understanding of financial markets with a focus on Fixed Income: Bonds, Futures & Options. FX, CDS experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• A working knowledge of FIX / QuickFIX is desirable.
• Technical skills: Unix shell, scripting, Windows and Database (SQL / reporting) would be an advantage.
