Engineering Assistant (Network & System) [Engineering Contractor]

What you will do  

The team delivers innovative solutions to a wide customer base across all industry segments for IT Infrastructure systems. You will be part of a growing service team of Network & System driving maintaining customer’s facilities.

How you will do it

• Ensure that the IT infrastructure meets business needs, including Windows servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, networking, backup solutions, and email systems.

• Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and guarantee system availability and reliability.

• Evaluate various policies based on security and business requirements to facilitate development, implementation, and ongoing support.

• Offer technical support and guidance for operations validation, development, and implementation processes.

• Create operational solutions and contribute to the development and maintenance of operational standards and procedures, including ITIL practices.

• Oversee production changes, including the deployment of applications.

• Implement cloud infrastructure solutions to address IT projects and organizational needs.

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in IT Operations.

• Practical experience on below areas:

  • Windows/VMware/UNIX/Linux operating systems (installation, scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting).

  • MySQL/MongoDB/SQL databases (creating and managing user roles, assigning privileges, and performing backups).

  • Cloud computing (Aliyun, Azure, AWS) (configuration, security, storage, backup, and disaster recovery).

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues.

• Self-driven with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is preferred.

• Flexibility to work on a varied schedule.

Preferred  

• Independent and able to work under pressure

• Well-versed in MS Office & AutoCAD
