Financial Controller

Role Summary:

The Financial Controller oversees the financial operations of a diversified group, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and effective support for commercial, consulting, and investment activities. This role suits someone hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working across fast-moving, multi-entity environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly/annual reporting, consolidation, and compliance across trading, consulting, and asset-management entities.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, profitability tracking, and business-line analysis.

Oversee treasury, cash flow, working capital, and FX exposure for cross-border trading.

Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and audit readiness across all business units.

Supervise AP/AR, billing, payroll, and financial systems.

Support tax planning, cross-border structuring, and regulatory compliance.

Partner with leadership on financial modelling, investment reviews, and business expansion.

Location & Travel

The role requires regional travel, and the candidate must be willing to relocate to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA or MSc preferred.

Min 10 years’ experience in trading, consulting, or financial services.

Demonstrated experience leading and developing a finance team.

Ability to guide multiple business units with clarity, structure, and strong judgement.

Confident communicator who can engage with senior management, auditors, banks, and regulators.

Proactive mindset with the ability to influence, problem-solve, and drive continuous improvement.

Strong consolidation, treasury, tax, and financial-modelling skills.

Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
