Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with third party suppliers as an “intelligent customer” and “critical friend” on the delivery of the eMPF Platform project;
- Work across all system infrastructure areas, including servers, storage, network, virtualization, security controls, disaster recovery, service level standards, cloud management, system management, service management, data centre services, etc.;
- Review contractual deliverables and performing acceptance testing for the system to ensure they fully comply with the relevant requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and best practices;
- Provide recommendation for acceptance / payment / the need for revision;
- Manage contractors, monitoring contractor performance and providing comments on system infrastructure technical solutions;
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to management on work progress and issues handling;
- Perform procurement activities; and
- Any other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines;
Minimum 8 years of solid experience in the following areas in large corporations, preferably in Financial Services environment, or government departments:
- Cloud infrastructure, virtualization platform management and administration
- Backup & recovery administration, disaster recovery planning
- Information security administration
- Data Center & IT service management
- LAN/WAN, VPN, SDN, firewall management and network security
- Server and SAN storage administration
- SLA/System performance monitoring
- Maintenance operation support, asset management and resource management
- High availability and system resilience solutions
- Professional certification in any of the above areas will be an advantage;
- Solid experience in working with suppliers in delivering large-scale mission critical system solutions;
- Strong project management skills;
- Excellent organization and problem solving skills, and be able to work under pressure;
- Driven, good interpersonal, positive, highly structured, proactive, problem solving and analytical;
- Able to articulate messages clearly with styles appropriate to the audience and occasions;
- Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English; and
- Keen and willing to work in an agile style environment with all the flexibility that requires and level of change involved.
Remuneration Package
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. A competitive remuneration and benefits package including discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered.
