Assistant Marketing and Event Manager/ Marketing and Event Executive
As Assistant Marketing and Event Manager, you will report to Congress Manager and work closely with regional congress partners and other key stakeholders of the industry in ophthalmology, and play a fundamental role in delivering business development and marketing support to the annual congress. Specific responsibilities are included, but not limited to:

Plan, organize and execute the congress, exhibitions, meetings, and incentives.

Create and manage congress budgets, timelines and project plans.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities.

Prepare client intelligence reports to assist in preparing more tailored proposals.

Work with congress manager in accordance with the pitch process, and develop key messages for pitches and other promotional documents.

Update and maintain supporting materials for sponsors and exhibitors.

Attend international trade shows, conferences and events to promote the congress.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing or related fields

Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing MICE events, marketing, business development or other relevant experience. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Marketing and Event Executive.

Proficient in English and Chinese, both speaking and writing. Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage.

Excellent writing, proofreading and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledgeable in common social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, WeChat)

Strong project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Travel as needed, occasionally on short notice and including international destinations. This may require working under extended and/or varied work hours, including weekends.
We offer competitive remuneration. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a 1- or 2-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
