Senior Data Engineer / Analyst

We are looking for a Data Engineer who possesses a strong data and analytics acumen. The ideal candidate should not only be skilled in data extraction and insertion but also understand how to select and prepare the right data for analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, and construct models for both structured and unstructured data.

• Utilize data modeling techniques and ETL/ELT processes (e.g., Alteryx, SSIS, DataFactory) to effectively manage data workflows.

• Perform data manipulation and analysis using statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Analytics SQL) to derive insights from large datasets.

• Optimize performance by tuning data platform architecture, databases, workflows, and SQL queries.

• Experience in API trigger and creation to enhance data integration processes.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computing, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in SQL, ETL programming, or related database programming.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL, particularly analytics SQL (e.g., pivot tables, complex queries).

• Experience with Azure Synapse.

• Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, or Scala.

• Familiarity with Alteryx and Databricks is a plus.

• Statistical Skills: Solid experience with statistical programming languages (R, Python, Analytics SQL) for data manipulation and analysis.

• Performance Tuning: Advanced skills in optimizing data platform architecture, databases, workflows, and SQL query performance.

Languages

• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.

Certifications

• Willingness to obtain the "Alteryx Designer Core" certification within 3 months of onboarding.
