Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst, your responsibilities include conducting stakeholder and user reviews to validate business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders and designers to create the best user experiences as well as work with information architects to formulate customer journeys, wireframes, and prototypes. Your responsibilities also include the functional design of the IT solutions process, and acting as the first point-of-contact for any clarification. You will create high level and detailed requirements and specifications in order to capture business needs, rules, and details.

You will do the following in this job:

• Communication & Relationships: Effectively communicate complex solutions both verbally and in writing, ensuring clarity and conciseness. Utilize active listening and excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

• Process Analysis & Solutions: Map, analyze, and evaluate existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and root causes of problems. Work with stakeholders to define future processes, propose technically feasible and user-friendly solutions, and present them visually while meeting business goals.

• Meeting Facilitation: Lead and facilitate effective meetings and discussions, both internally and with clients, to ensure shared understanding and agenda achievement. This includes eliciting requirements, clarifying business needs, and resolving conflicts efficiently.

• Industry & Impact Understanding: Possess a deep understanding of the industry, its processes, terminology, and emerging trends. Independently identify potential effects of proposed changes on business processes, systems, and stakeholders.

• Technical Collaboration & Bridging: Understand technical concepts, development methodologies, and system architecture to collaborate with technical teams on solution design. Act as the crucial bridge between business and technical teams, facilitating communication and documenting complex solutions like API documentation or system diagrams.

• Requirements Management: Effectively elicit, gather, and document comprehensive business requirements for complex projects from all stakeholders. Ensure documentation is precise, accurate, complete, technically feasible, and aligned with business goals, often utilizing tools like JIRA or Confluence.

• Project Management Contribution: Work effectively with stakeholders to define project scope, create plans, manage changes, and perform impact analysis throughout the project lifecycle. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery with high stakeholder satisfaction.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage stakeholders at various levels to ensure aligned understanding and expectations. This covers requirements, project progress, and deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Define test scenarios from a business perspective, identify golden test cases, and actively participate in system and user acceptance testing (UAT). Collaborate with testers to efficiently resolve defects, ensuring business requirements are met with high-quality standards; API testing skills are a plus.

• Design Thinking & User Centricity: Understand and adopt design thinking principles and a user-centric mindset across projects, from requirements elicitation to solution proposals. This helps gain insights into and address business and customer issues and needs effectively.

• Business Acumen: Possess a strong business mindset and a clear understanding of organizational goals and strategies. Provide insights and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, considering key business drivers to contribute to overall project success.

We are hiring talent like you:

• At least 4-year work experience in IT/ Mobile application development. Exposure in any of the retail business, e-commerce, finance, insurance industry will be an advantage
• Good command in English, Cantonese Mandarin
• Excellent business analytical, verbal, and written communications skills
• Passionate about creating experiences and bringing insights to clients through research, analytics, design, and delivery
• Experience in a client-facing position at an agency or consulting firm or equivalent experience in product management
• Practical experience in Agile/ SCRUM methodologies alike
• PMP Certification holder will be an advantage

• Proven experience in building large-scale digital services in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered designs and able to identify opportunities throughout the design process
• Ability to inform, educate and influence managers and peers to support recommendations
• Advanced writing and communication skills to translate complex end to end process, regulation, and market practice into an easily understood form
• Experience of the leadership of other BAs
