APAC Buyer（9 months Contractor）

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

Placement and Management of non-inventory purchase orders for purchase requisition to payment in APAC.  Management and development of Supplier base. Support commodity oversight assuring efficient tactical completion. Negotiate contracts and price agreements. Ability to track and report on assigned metrics.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Award and maintain purchase orders for direct, and, indirect spend.
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Monitor contracts ensuring supplier performance funding and deliverables
• Support sourcing strategies as assigned.
• Establish preferred suppliers for non-inventory categories.
• Execute new supplier set up for tactical finance activity and vetting as required. Collect appropriate documentation review and submit for set up.
• Requests quotations for various categories, C.O.S, custom items, plus, software, and services.
• Maintains comprehensive descriptions of available products, lead times, T&C’s, SPQ/MOQ, discounts, volume discount breaks and current prices.
• Negotiate basic contracts to improve prices and terms of business. Understanding of shipping terms, and terms involving liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and export compliance.
• Assess and evaluate suppliers for performance reviews.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years procurement experience
• Read interpret supplier quotes and proposals
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and Chinese.
• Solid Microsoft office (excel, word, power point) experience.
• Must be detail oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand basic accounting requirements.
• Understand Incoterms and basic global trade requirements.
• Monitor department KPI.
• Independent and fast learner that can remain detail oriented in a fast pace environment.
• Knowledge of S2P system.  Experience with Zycus is a plus.
