Assistant BIM Coordinator / Engineer – Digital Solutions

Role Summary:
Support the BIM Team Leader in managing BIM projects, developing smart safety systems, and delivering digital solutions for engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

BIM Project Support

• Assist in managing engineering design and automation projects.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and documentation.

BIM Coordination

• Work with teams to develop BIM models for civil/geotechnical projects.

• Ensure compliance with standards like ISO 19650.

• Conduct clash detection and model reviews.

• Provide training on BIM tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks).

Smart Site Safety System (4S)

• Assists implement and manage smart site safety system.

• Coordinate with vendors and site teams on deployment, support and maintenance.

• Prepare reports, arrange presentation/demonstration and maintain documentation.

Automation & Computational BIM

• Create scripts, plugins, add-ons and workflows using Dynamo, Python, and C#.

• Support automation and data integration across BIM tools and platforms.

Digital Solutions & System Development

• Assist in building digital platforms integrating BIM, GIS, IoT, and project data.

• Assists develop systems for safety, asset management and engineering applications

• Work on GIS data integration and digital twin applications.

Standards & Change Management

• Assists develop and maintain internal standards and tools.

• Support training and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements:

Education

• Diploma or above in Engineering, Construction, or related fields.

• BIM training (e.g., CCBC) is a plus; training will be provided.

Experience

• At least 2 years in engineering/construction project coordination.

• BIM experience preferred; exposure to digital platforms or site tech is a bonus.

Technical Skills

• BIM tools: Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks.

• Programming: Dynamo, Python, C#.

• Systems: CDE workflows, APIs, data standards i.e. IFC, COBie, etc.

• GIS: ArcGIS/QGIS and BIM–GIS integration.

• Office tools: MS Office, project management software.

Soft Skills

• Good communication and problem-solving.

• Detail-oriented and proactive.

• Able to work under pressure and adapt to change.

Preferred

• Experience with smart safety systems (4S), IoT, or familiarity with use of AI

• Familiarity with government submission processes.

• Cantonese and written English proficiency is a plus.
