Job Description
CHANGE YOUR FUTURE AND THE FUTURE FOR CHILDREN IN HONG KONG.
We are seeking a qualified Clinical / Educational Psychologist specializing in early childhood as a visiting professional at a child care home in Hong Kong. As a visiting psychologist, you will focus on providing assessments, interventions, and support children aged 6 years and under who reside in the child care home.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct developmental assessments for children aged 6 and under in the child care home
- Collaborate with staff and caregivers to develop individualized intervention plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy to address developmental concerns
- Support and equip staff and caregivers with strategies for child development and behavioral challenges
- Design and deliver training sessions for frontline carers on child development and trauma-informed care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for holistic intervention and support
- Stay updated on research and best practices in early childhood psychology
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions
Requirements
- Valid Clinical / Educational Psychologist license and registration in Hong Kong
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children, staff, and caregivers
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and attachment-based interventions
- Experience designing and delivering training sessions or workshops for frontline carers or child care professionals
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research in early childhood psychology
