Data Analyst / BI & Data Automation Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst / BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI, Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, SQL, and Azure Synapse to transform, validate, and improve data quality. Additionally, this role will support API integrations, ETL processes, and source system data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Development:

• Design and optimize Power BI dashboards for business stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain Excel reports using Power Query and automate workflows with Power Automate.

Data Transformation & Validation:

• Perform data extraction, cleansing, and transformation in Azure (SQL, Synapse).

• Ensure data accuracy through validation checks and troubleshoot discrepancies.

Data Quality & Source System Analysis:

• Analyze source system data, identify inconsistencies, and suggest data quality improvements.

• Document data flows and validation rules.

Technical Support & Automation:

• Build and maintain data pipelines for ETL processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract data from APIs and source systems (e.g., databases, cloud services).

• Support ad-hoc data extraction, API integrations, and scripting tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Strong experience in Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Excel.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Azure Synapse (or similar cloud data platforms).

• Knowledge of data transformation, validation, and ETL processes.

• Ability to analyze source systems and improve data quality.

• Familiarity with API integrations , basic programming (Python, PowerShell, or similar is a plus) and other Azure technologies is a plus

Preferred:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or pipeline automation.

• Understanding of data governance and best practices.

• Certifications in Power BI, Microsoft Azure, or Data Analytics are a bonus.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, BI development, or ETL processes.
