Data Analyst (Insurance client)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and manage interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and SQL, specifically tailored to healthcare and transformation initiatives.

• Conduct tasks including data extraction, loading, transformation, cleansing, report/dashboard creation, ad-hoc analysis, and database management.

• Continuously improve production routines, including daily, weekly, and monthly data transformation or reporting, while prioritizing full automation wherever possible.

• Assist in the development of simple / EUC tools to support various business operations.

• Facilitate communication of analysis results or dashboard insights through reports, presentations, user training, and assist management in monitoring the progress of the Data Analytics Cloud Platform project.

Basic requirements:

• Possess a degree in a relevant field such as Information Management, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or similar fields.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in dashboarding and reporting, with expertise in Power BI being advantageous.

• Work experience in industries such as insurance, healthcare, technology, or consulting is desirable.

• With strong empathy, integrity, and a service-oriented mindset.

• Skilled in project and stakeholder management, with consulting experience being a plus.

• A keen eye for visual and graphic details is valued.

• Demonstrates resourcefulness, positivity, organizational skills, ability to self-prioritize, autonomy, and a proactive attitude.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Proficient in business English, with Cantonese and/or Mandarin skills being advantageous.

Technical expertise:

Practical experience includes:

• Designing dashboards and utilizing business intelligence tools (Power BI is preferred)

• Automating data manipulation tasks with tools such as Excel, VBA, and RPA platforms

• Managing databases (minimum requirement: SQL Server) and applying data engineering skills (particularly SQL)

• Handling Lakehouse management and engineering pipelines (DataBricks preferred)

Strong understanding of:

• Data modeling principles, including normalization and medallion architecture

• Cloud ecosystems (Azure is preferred; AWS and GCP are also valuable)

• Cloud data pipelines (Azure Data Factory and Databricks required; Kafka or Azure Event Hub are advantageous, with other tools being appreciated)
