Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop both long-term and short-term strategic plans to drive innovation, technology, and automation within advanced manufacturing systems and facilities.

  • Assess, refine, and optimize operational workflows, processes, and controls to enhance productivity, boost quality, and reduce costs through continuous improvement.

  • Lead and oversee manufacturing operations reengineering projects by collaborating closely with local operational teams.

  • Identify, recommend, and implement the most suitable manufacturing practices and automation solutions for equipment, systems, tools, and facilities to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in manufacturing, engineering, and automation technologies.

  • Mentor and develop a team of engineering professionals to support ongoing business growth.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 10 years’ proven experience in leading major manufacturing engineering projects and implementing automation solutions.

  • Experience in the battery industry is a plus.

  • Strong business sense, analytical skills, and financial acumen.

  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and change management abilities.

  • Proficient in English and Chinese, including Mandarin.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to Mainland China and Southeast Asia.

 

Candidate with more experience will be considered as Assistant Director, Manufacturing Technology & Automation.
