Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate / Research Assistant

[Appointment period: up to 36 months]

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “ANTLER I”. The project focuses on establishing an innovation in textiles for fashion, built in the digital realm using artificial intelligence. You will be part of a dynamic AI and fashion team responsible for back end software development and large language model engineering.

Qualifications

For the Postdoctoral Fellow post, applicant should:

(a) Hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in computer science, machine learning, data science, applied mathematics, or a closely related discipline.

(b) Have demonstrable research experience in areas relevant to the project, such as computer vision, deep learning, or multimodal data integration.

(c) Possess strong programming skills, with practical expertise in Python and/or C++, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

(d) Knowledge of design research and textile engineering will be advantageous.

For the Research Associate/ Assistant post, applicant should:

(a) Hold a Master’s degree (for Research Associate) or Bachelor’s degree (for Research Assistant) in computer science, data analytics, engineering, applied mathematics, or other relevant disciplines.

(b) Have experience or training in AI/ML tools, preferably including computer vision or NLP applications.

(c) Be proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Python) and familiar with data processing or model development workflows

(d) Knowledge of design research and textile engineering will be advantageous

Candidates with less qualification and experience may be considered at the level of Research Assistant.

For the Research Assistant post, applicants should have a degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or a related discipline, with demonstrable programming skills and an interest in ensign research and textile engineering will be advantageous.
