Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser (General Merchandise/Seasonal products)

Responsibilities:

·       Lead a team to cover merchandising activities including vendor sourcing, product development, quotation preparation & price negotiation, packaging development and order execution from order placement till shipment, etc.

·       Execute the sourcing strategy with objectives of reducing overall cost of goods sold

·       Drives product innovation and quality with suppliers through in-depth understanding of production processes and product requirements

·       Source, maintain, and develop solid vendor matrix and work closely with vendors and customers on product development to offer quality products with competitive prices.

·       Develop, establish, and maintain close relationships with customers and business partners in a professional manner.

·       Review sell-thru/sales performance, make proposals, and work closely with business partners to formulate business strategy and buying plans.

·       Collect market intelligence and prepare business proposal/presentation to support business development for current and new customers.

·       Ensure daily communication with customers/business partners is professional and is completed in a timely manner. Coach and develop team members to provide world class services to customers and business partners.

·       Plan and lead business trip with customers to achieve sourcing and buying objectives

·       Assist supervisor in accomplishing financial objectives and facilitate the team to achieve the company objectives and goals.

·       Any ad hoc assignment designated by the supervisor.

Requirements:

·       Tertiary educated or above

·       At least 5 years working experience in General Merchandise or Seasonal industry

·       Proficient in building new suppliers and managing supplier matrix

·       Able to work independently and meet job deadlines.

·       Strong in product knowledge, price negotiation, order execution and shipment management

·       Proven track record of successful sourcing efforts.

·       Good analytical skill and product knowledge

·       Excellent presentation and communication skill in both English and Mandarin

·       Wiling to travel to China and overseas

·       Experience of EU market is an advantage.
