Myer Sourcing Asia Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Myer Australia Pty Ltd. We are looking to recruit a Merchandiser / Assistant Merchandiser for Menswear. This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for passionate people to join our Business in Hong Kong.

As the Merchandiser / Assistant Merchandiser, you will report to the Senior Merchandiser in the Hong Kong office. You will be the primary contact with the buying team and suppliers for the menswear category, and responsible for sourcing of appropriate vendors and suppliers, coordination between key players in the supply chain, production management, tracking and reporting.

This role is pivotal in the success of the global sourcing office. You will ensure that product development timelines are met and work closely with the Buying teams to ensure orders can be fulfilled as per the specified brief.

Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities:

• Management of orders and the delivery timeframes
• Managing and reporting on on-time deliveries
• Maintain relationships between factories, Quality Assurance and Control
• Production of technical documentation and update as required
• Work closely with Buyer Teams

• Negotiations with factories

To be successful in this role you will need:

• At least 5 years’ experience in direct deal with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
• Candidates with less experience can be considered as Assistant Merchandiser
• Previous experience in menswear will be an advantage
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A confident and proactive work ethic
• A high level of attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Tertiary qualification, degree in the related discipline preferred but not essential
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
