Senior Procurement/Category Executive

In light of our company's continued growth and expansion, we are seeking talented individuals to join with us. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Senior Procurement/Category Executive will be responsible for:

Job Duties

• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with international and domestic suppliers of fruits and vegetables.
• Monitor market trends, analyze supply and demand patterns, and anticipate changes in pricing, availability, and quality of fruits and vegetables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, supply chain, operations & admin, marketing and quality control, to ensure seamless procurement and distribution processes.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement/category transactions, supplier contracts, and pricing agreements.
• Conduct price negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for fruit and vegetable imports, while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies.
• Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement/category strategies and policies to optimize the sourcing and supply chain operations for fruit and vegetable imports.
• To review and respond to messages (email/WhatsApp/WeChat)
• The responsibilities of the job will be reviewed to align with the progress of business development
• To perform ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned by the Management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
• 3-5 years of proven experience in procurement/category and supply chain management, preferably in the fruit and vegetable import/export industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Get along well with all level of staff.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction initiatives and achieve savings through effective negotiations.
• Good problem-solving skills, can quickly and effectively fix the related problems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Assistant Procurement/Category Manager
