Position:

QA/QC Engineer

Position Summary:

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of product safety and regulatory compliance for a US-based buying office of consumer goods.

Position Primary Duties:

Manage and arrange all testing submissions between 3rd party labs and factories, follow up with labs on result and report status

Assist in arranging 3rd party inspections and audits

Create/Implement Corrective Action Plans when required

Maintain and manage testing database

Assist in maintaining inspection database

Assist in maintaining factory matrix

Archive completed testing and inspection reports and invoices

Work with 3rd party labs to gather new testing protocols to communicate with vendors and factories as needed

Technically review artworks, products and packaging for compliance

Assist with general office administration

Position Secondary Duties:

Coordinate/Communicate QC Inspection criteria as needed

Work with 3rd party labs to draft new protocols when necessary

All other duties as assigned

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases

Able to work independently and as a team

Requirements:

Degree or above

Minimum 3 years working experience in a testing lab or sourcing/buying office

Experience with testing requirement of major US retailers (e.g. Walmart, Target etc.)

Understanding of technical consumer testing protocols and US/CA product regulations

Good command written and spoken in English / Cantonese / Mandarin
