Data Specialist / Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to analyze complex data sets, collaborate with end users on data requirements and data analytics needs, understand data sources and business use cases.
• Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data ETL and data validation pipelines to ensure reliable data flow from various sources to data storage systems.
• Collaborate with team members to create and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to visualize data insights.
• Deliver testing and documentation for the deployment of data pipelines and data models.
• Provide support (subsequent change management, access controls and usage monitoring) to data and analytics dashboard users.
• Evaluate source data readiness, data lineage and landscape of data consumption, define data governance model to ensure data quality.

• Support ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, Information Management, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, IT or related discipline.
• Over 2 years of experience in data engineering and warehousing.
• Experience in ETL, Data Lake, data warehouse pipelines, and data analytics project.
• Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, wrangling and visualization.
• Skilled in SQL for managing large datasets and Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with Databricks or Generative AI will be a PLUS.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
• Good communication skills including strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
