Safety and Training Officer

Job Requirements:

• Degree or above in Occupational Safety & Health or Training or equivalent
• Registered Safety Officer (RSO) is highly preferred
• At least 5 years of solid experience in Marine industry
• Possess familiarity with statutory and regulator safety requirements for Marine
• Effective communication skill and a good team player
• Good analytical thinking and reporting skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office

Job Responsibilities:

• Handling local safety management (LSM, new requirement by Marine Department) related issues.
• To set up, implement and audit the company LSM policy to fulfil statutory requirements.
• To monitor and manage marine safety issues relating to vessels, sea crews and pier staffs.
• To establish and deliver safety training sessions, regular drills to all sea and pier staffs.
• Handling marine accident investigation, negotiating with related governmental department, insurance company and other related bodies.
• To coordinate with internal departments for special fleet arrangements, events at sea, other ad hoc requests by Group or clients
• To administrate and investigate any misconducts and disciplinary actions against sea and pier staffs.
