We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out supervision and co-ordination work for the project of “Batch 1B, 1C Development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park”:

Senior Resident Engineer (Ref. JD_23058SRE)
The minimum qualifications required for the post of Senior Resident Engineer shall be as follows:

Qualifications:

• MHKIE with 7 years’ relevant post-qualification experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (Civil or Structural). For holders of qualification in the field of Civil Engineering Discipline, appropriate experience in structural engineering design and practice is required;
   

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as RSE’s representative and RSE TCP T5 on site to supervise the Resident Structural Site Team and delegate duties amongst site staff for the quality site supervision of the project fulfilling the requirements from the Buildings Department and Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (2021 Edition).
• Completion of the Electronic TCP form filing system during the course of TCP duties.
  Ability to lead subordinates to achieve required work results, set clear work objectives and standards.
• Overall Supervision of the Project including guidance of Project contractor on programming, quality control, and ensuring site safety.
• Ensure that structural works of the Project are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Project contract documents and statutory requirements. Check that the Project has been carried out according to the design intent and plans approved by the relevant government authorities, and materials used are in strict compliance with the Specification and relevant standards.
• Monitor builder’s work progress to see whether reasonable progress is achieved and to ensure that the Project is completed according to programme. Review the approved programmes, and comment on the contractor’s progress reports.
• Review consolidated monthly progress reports and make recommendations on the subject of contractual matters including contractor’s claims.
• Review site matters which would have contractual, time and cost implication; and report to the Contract Administrator and the Employer as early as practical, when such events occur.
• Review site records of events in dealing with statutory issues and assist on preparing assessments on contractual claims. Lead the liaison between the Contractor and the consultant team for smooth execution of the Project.
• Monitor the effect of the site works, if any, to eliminate / minimize the adverse effect on the neighbouring private/ public properties and persons, including nuisances and potential danger.
• Coordinate / liaise with the adjoining site for any interfacing activities which will affect the site work, if applicable.
• Attend site progress meetings, interface and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor the co-ordination of the inputs / technical advice from other consultants in overall reviewing the Contractor’s design (including temporary and alternative permanent works), site planning, shop drawing, material sample, test results or method statement submissions and other relevant submissions for the project.
• Overall review of the record plans and reports submitted by the Contractor either for the statutory submission to the Government or the Consultants.
• Overall Review answers to technical queries from the contractor and supply further information to contractors for construction.
• Follow the directions, arrangement and assignment of work tasks/ daily work duties from the Project Architect/ Contract Administrator, and to assist him/ her with all necessary works/ inputs towards completion of the Project.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer appropriate for the proper completion of the Project.
  
   

Employment will be on a contract basis for a period of 24 months commencing from end of March 2025 tentatively with possible extension subject to works condition. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualification and experience.
